Privacy Policy.

Last updated · 4 May 2026

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Euro Airport Ride, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, write to us at privacy@euroairportride.com and we'll explain.

1. Who we are

Euro Airport Ride is operated jointly by two registered Finnish sole traders based in Helsinki, Finland: Neaeras (Y-tunnus 3614712-7) and FINMARIO (Y-tunnus 3609878-3). Together, we are the data controller responsible for your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We act as an intermediary between travellers and licensed local transport agencies across Europe. We are not the transport provider — the actual ride is delivered by one of our partner agencies, and the relevant booking details are shared with that agency so they can pick you up.

2. What data we collect

When you book a transfer, we collect the information needed to deliver the ride and support you throughout the journey: your full name, email address, phone number, pickup and drop-off addresses, pickup date and time, and — for airport pickups — your flight number. You may optionally provide special requests, child seat preferences, or other notes for the driver.

Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number, CVC, or expiry date. We do receive and store a Stripe payment reference and the last four digits of the card so we can identify the transaction and process refunds.

When you visit the website, we receive limited technical information automatically: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, and the pages you visit. We use this to keep the service working, prevent fraud, and understand which pages are useful.

3. Why we collect it

We use your personal data to provide the airport transfer service: to confirm your booking, calculate the route and price, share pickup details with the partner agency, send you driver and vehicle information before pickup, handle support requests during your ride, and process payments and refunds.

The legal basis under GDPR is performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) for the data needed to complete your booking. Limited technical data is processed under our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in keeping the service secure, reliable, and fraud-free. Where we send marketing email — for example, a newsletter — we do so only with your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a)), and you can withdraw consent at any time from any email we send.

4. Who we share it with

We share the minimum data necessary with a small number of trusted processors. Each of them is contractually bound to handle your data only on our instructions and to keep it secure.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

5. How long we keep it

Booking records are retained for three years from the date of the ride. This is the minimum period we need under Finnish accounting and tax law and to handle any disputes or chargebacks that may arise after the trip.

Account data — your saved profile, contact details, and login credentials — is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we erase or anonymise this data, except where we are legally required to keep it (for example, to satisfy accounting obligations connected to past bookings).

Customer support correspondence is retained for two years so we can resolve follow-up questions and improve our service.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it's wrong, ask us to delete it, restrict how we use it, object to our processing, and receive a copy in a portable format. You also have the right to withdraw any consent you've given, and to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutettu).

To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@euroairportride.com. We'll respond within one month. If we need longer because the request is complex, we'll let you know and explain why.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — the small files needed to keep you signed in, hold your booking in progress, and protect against fraud. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or analytics that profile you across other websites.

When you first visit the site you'll see a brief banner explaining this. By continuing to use the service you accept these essential cookies; without them the booking flow can't work.

8. International data transfers

Some of our processors — notably Stripe, Vercel, and Supabase — operate globally and may store or process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or equivalent safeguards approved under GDPR.

You can request a copy of the safeguards in place by writing to the privacy address above.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the service evolves or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Where the change is material — for example, a new category of data or a new processor — we'll let you know by email if you have an active account or upcoming booking.
